Eric Laine has worked in the contemporary art world for twenty years, including fifteen years in NYC with projects in Berlin, Miami, and Los Angeles. His role has grown from artist assistant/ manager to independent curator/dealer, gallery assistant, and now, finally, gallerist. His founding idea behind Oolong Gallery is to ignite post-pandemic cultural excitement in North County San Diego by presenting the finest art work with fun and interesting receptions. Oolong Gallery will showcase experienced and emerging "mid-career" artists, with new, highly curated shows rotating through the gallery roughly every six weeks. Oolong Gallery welcomes the entire North County community, from students and educators to homeowners who want to enliven the interiors of their beautiful living spaces. In addition to the rotating multi-artist showcases, there will be artist talks, screenings, recitals, and events. Oolong Gallery's vision is to convey an enhanced understanding of the importance of creating, appreciating, and collecting art in today's complex world, and as North County San Diego becomes increasingly culturally sophisticated.
