Carolyn D. Cohen, trained as a CPA, is a dynamic business professional with nearly twenty years of experience in real estate sales, development, and management, private school development and operations management, audit and tax consulting and forensic accounting. Ms. Cohen is known for her unflagging work ethic, her insistence upon excellence and a perpetually positive attitude which enables her to tackle the most difficult challenges with confidence.
Christine Garforth has more than twenty years of experience working for large pharmaceutical, medical device, and rapidly growing biotechnology companies in multiple functional areas including global brand management, sales management, national account management, project management and business process development. Ms. Garforth relocated from the east coast to southern California in 2002, and has been living in San Diego since 2005. Christine has been active in numerous local non-profit organizations including Susan G. Komen San Diego, Big Brothers/Big Sisters San Diego, Make-A-Wish, and Del Mar – Solana Beach Lions Club.

Mr. Blumberg has diverse experience in various transactional and litigation matters, concentrating primarily in the fields of business, commercial and general civil litigation. In addition, he has handled and tried cases involving dissolution of long term marriages, professional negligence, product liability, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, insurance subrogation, common carriers/transportation and fraud. Mr. Blumberg successfully handled one of the first cases in the United States involving a unique cause of toxic shock syndrome. He also was lead counsel in a groundbreaking case in California dealing with individual homeowners’ liability in condominium litigation.
In 1992, Mr. Blumberg left Los Angeles and moved to Solana Beach, California where he began his own practice. For these past nearly 20 years, Mr. Blumberg’s professional life has been devoted to representing individuals, families and small businesses for a wide range of legal needs. Living, raising a family and establishing a law practice in North County San Diego have proven to be the right choices for Mr. Blumberg, and he remains honored and blessed to be a part of the Solana Beach community.
After working over 25 years in litigation, Mr. Blumberg has learned that not every legal dispute should be handled the same way. The primary responsibility of a legal representative is to know the client, and his or her particular needs, in order to secure positive results as efficiently and painlessly as possible. Civil conflicts may ultimately have to be tried in a court of law, but not every dispute needs to be adversarial and acrimonious. Although Mr. Blumberg will aggressively litigate and try cases when necessary, not every problem needs to be immediately thrust into the judicial process. Mr. Blumberg’s focus is on finding Innovative Legal Solutions which promotes creative advocacy for his clients to ensure the best possible results through the least disruptive process.
Bryan started the Java Depot at the Boardwalk on Highway 101 in 1991. He had a vision to bring a combination of community, culture and coffee to Solana Beach. Bryan has held every position at the Chamber and was President from 1999-2000. Bryan also serves on the Highway 101 Board.
Greg Petre is a Solana Beach native and is President of T&M Mechanical Sales Company, a manufacturers’ representative firm for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

Tina Tharp is the Managing Partner for the Solana Beach based accounting firm Hamilton Tharp, LLP. With over 20 years of experience in the accounting and consulting industry, Tina works closely with her clients on implementing their financial vision. Being both a resident and business owner in Solana Beach has provided her a unique perspective on life in this great coastal community. Mac brings his skill set as a career market research specialist to The Solana Beach Chamber as Director of Marketing. Mac has a knack for finding properties unique to each business involved with the Chamber and helping to grow that business through all available avenues. Mac holds a degree in Business Administration from SDSU as well as a degree in Computer Arts and Technology from CSUSM. Mac's knowledge of trends, emerging technology and research gives The Solana Beach Chamber a significant advantage over many other chambers in San Diego County. When he isn't working for the advancement of our local businesses, Mac can be found outside enjoying his passions as an outdoorsman and pilot. As co-founder of The Allie Smiles Foundation Mac cares deeply for dogs, especially Golden Retrievers. He collaborates with numerous not-for-profits and animal advocacy causes; finding satisfaction in caring for the things that make a big impact on people's lives. Working with the team at The Solana Beach Chamber is truly a joy.
Liz has spent most of her professional life in the Administrative, Marketing and Promotion areas of a multitude of diverse companies and organizations. These include Real Estate Offices, Chambers of Commerce, Multinational Building Contractors, Telephone Companies, and even the American School in Taipei, Taiwan. In all of these roles, Liz has demonstrated her ability to promote the organization and help the business to continue to grow and move forward. She is now using her talents and experience to help members of the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce achieve their business goals and objectives.
Currently an established resident of Solana Beach, Liz has lived all over the world as the career moves of her family dictated. In her current role as Business Ambassador for the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce, she enjoys meeting new people and businesses, and is delighted to work with any member organization, large or small, to help their business to be a prosperous and successful member of the community.
Brian Hall is an expert in residential real estate and has been serving home buyers and sellers across San Diego County since 2003. Brian differentiates himself as a real estate professional with his incredible drive, expert negotiation skills, round the clock availability, and people-centric business approach. Brian is the type of person that not only listens to your concerns, but addresses them. He always make himself available to listen, answer questions, give feedback, and provide solutions. Brian lives in Solana Beach and has a small real estate brokerage two doors down from the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce. In addition to selling real estate, Brian enjoys sailing, traveling, and supporting veteran causes.
My current labor of love is a non-profit that I founded called Youth Campaigns, a hands-on work experience program that creates a pipeline toward careers in digital marketing for low income, minority and at-risk youth ages 16 -24. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Solana Beach Library and helped create Prattlona movement to bring awareness teen depression and suicide.
I started my career in the internet industry in 1998. The tech boom had just begun and I felt that my background in art was perfectly suited to create masterpieces for businesses using a new technology called web design. As CEO of my first start-up designing minds, I was able to acquire some big contracts. Some of my contracts included development work on the first virtual tour technology, web design for intuits first web site, and other web work for companies in the real estate industry such as Coldwell Banker and Century 21. Following the changing of the tide, in 2002 Designing Minds morphed from a web development company into a Search Engine Optimization company. In 2004 my world was forever altered with the advent of Wordpress. From that day I have been a student of social media, the tools used to deploy it and the psychology behind it all.
In the last few years, I have been privileged enough to be a featured speaker on social media strategy through partnership with my current company My Social Media Monster. Speaking engagements included workshops for small businesses with the SBA of San Diego and Citibank to name a few.
